Ginger Tea

From Jay's Cafe' Wiki

Information from Jamie:
Gingers good. Turmeric is better!! I make something called yellow milk when everyone gets sick that has ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, honey and almond milk (and a dash of pepper to activate the turmeric). Make sure the tea you're drinking is a quality tea. If you're drinking for the health benefits then steer away from Twinnings and Bigelow. There's more chemicals in those brands than beneficial stuff and they're really stripped of their herbal healing qualities. Brands like Yogi Tea and Traditional Medicinals, or Organic India are great brands ... even getting ginger and chopping some up and boiling it then straining it would work. There's this brand of Chai (which has ginger and cinnamon - another good anti inflammatory) that I absolutely love. It is great served with just a splash of cream and honey. Also, make sure you're brewing as the directions call for and you're covering your cup with some sort of seal as it steeps to keep the good stuff in.

I've heard white willow bark is also excellent for combating inflammation ... I don't have personal experience with it though. Make sure before you take something like that that it wouldn't have any counterlroductive interactions with the meds you're taking. True 100% legit green tea is an excellent anti inflammatory also. Find a really high quality one though. If the green tea doesn't taste kinda like an ash tray before you add honey etc (if you do) - it's no good and nutritionally barren.

This is what's in it. Essentially you could make your own and add turmeric... Make it as potent as you'd like...

Teavana ... even though they're super expensive has a blend called Golden Monkey that is an excellent all around great tea blend to have around for general health and wellbeing.

I bet if you went into Anelas there on Main Street that they'd be able to hook you up with some items and tips. Of course, you'll also want to try and avoid as much as possible the foods that cause inflammation ... dairy, sugar, processed stuff, red meats, alcohol etc.
