The credit pool news file is
automatically generated by the
midnight automaint module if you have
it included in the list of modules to
run at midnight. The news file must be
manually entered into the list to get
it started. After that it's
automatically updated by automaint.

When you first created the grf2 rel
file you defined how many records to
make it. That file does not grow
larger as do most rel files. It
maintains itself at however many
records you defined. Each record is
one entry on the wall. If you think
there are too many records the only
way to change it is to delete the rel
file and start over.

The s.login files are three. s.login 0
is for ascii users s.login 1 is for
Commodore c/g users and s.login 3 is
for ansi users. The number at the end
of the s.login file is related to the
nl variable which is set during login
as defined in the users config file.
If you want to create a cg screen for
Commodore cg users it should use the
number 1 at the end of the s.login
file. You could add additional screens
to be seen during login with different
filenames which either include the nl
variable in them or not. If that's the
way you go you would have to edit the
basic file either +.lo or +/lo.on to
display them by filename.

To add subs there are multiple steps
to do. Use the SM (sysop menu) Editor
Utils to Run Reledit. In reledit
add the sub to the subs list then edit
the Sig you want the sub to be in
(also in reledit) by adding the new
sub to the SB list. After that exit
out of reledit back to the Sysop Menu
go back into Editor Utils and use the
Convert Sigs option.

You probably did everything above
except the Convert Sigs routine.
That's why your new subs are not
appearing in the directory when you go
into the SB section.

The reason the serial version of grf
was not working for incoming messages
is because that line is rem'd out in
NMauto and the grf2 version is active.
I like the grf2 (rel) version more
because it's self maintaining. When
you first run it in local mode it
creates the rel file and asks yo how
many records you want it to use. I set
mine to 20 and the grf2 wall will
never go above that number of messages
in the file.

The reason BBS Server works better for
file transfers is because it uses
hardware handshaking whereas tcpser
does not. There's only one guy I know
of who has been able to get file
transfers (in the network) to work in
tcpser and that's Mark Honey aka
DEADMAN sysop of Remote CPU BBS.
The down side of that is his board can
only connect to mine for network
transfers. When my board tries to call
his it won't complete the connection.
It's ok in Image 1.2 because transfers
are bi-directional but in 2.0 they are
not so it wouldn't work with 2.0 very
well.
